Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait started Wednesday’s trading session in the green zone, backed by the rise of the banks and oil sectors.
By 9:35am Kuwait time, the benchmark price index edged up 0.07% or 4.50 points to reach 6,254.56 points.
Both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.42% and 0.66%, respectively.
The banks sector went up 0.93%, backed by Burgan Bank which added 2.92%.
The oil and gas segment rose 0.69% in line with the Energy House which gained 1.12%.
Meanwhile, the consumer services sector led three decliners with 2.15%, dragged by Muntazahat which lost 15.28%.
Boursa Kuwait’s turnover amounted to KWD 5.5 million after 24.6 million shares were traded through 924 transactions.
Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 6.5 million shares were traded, up 0.63%.
Kuwait Finance House recorded the highest liquidity of KWD 1.1 million, rising 0.37%.
