Mubasher: Boursa Kuwait registered a decline in its three indices during August, as the All-Share Market retreated by 0.68% or 35 points to 5,132.31 points when compared to 5,167.59 points in July.
The Main Market lost 0.72% or 35.5 points to 4,897.46 points from 4,932.98 points.
The Premier Market fell by 0.66% or 35.2 points to 5,261.82 points compared to 5,296.99 points.
On a monthly basis, liquidity shrank by 43.7% to KWD 356.5 million from KWD 633.36 million in July.
The trading volume decreased by 38.6% to 1.79 billion shares from 2.92 billion in the past month.
The number of transactions declined by 32.6% month-on-month to about 85,250 in August compared to nearly 126,510.
Market cap went down by 0.75% or KWD 220 million ($728.1 million) to KWD 28.99 billion from KWD 29.21 billion in July.
