Mubasher: The indices of Boursa Kuwait closed Thursday’s session with a mixed performance; the price index gained 0.38% or 25.5 points to 6,813.53 points, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices edged down 0.01% and 0.38%, respectively.
The market’s liquidity shrank to KWD 26.72 million from KWD 27.51 million on Wednesday, while the trading volume increased to 286.36 million shares from 275.18 million.
The oil and gas segment topped seven gainers with a rise of 3.70%, on the back of Napesco which levelled up by 8.20% in line with the positive financial results disclosed on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector led five decliners with 0.71%, dragged by Viva and Hits Telecom which lost 1.16% and 1.06%, respectively.
REAM was the most active stock on which 34.25 million shares were exchanged at a turnover of KWD 8.22 million, falling by 4%.
