Bawan Company generates 69% profit growth in Q2-26 financials despite H1 decline

Riyadh — Mubasher: Bawan Company achieved a net profit of SAR 53.94 million during the second quarter (Q2) of 2026.

The net income represented a 68.94% surge compared to SAR 31.93 million in Q2-25, according to a bourse disclosure.

The industrial group attributed the quarterly growth to higher revenues and profit margins within its oil and gas and plastic industries sectors, alongside lower financing costs and Zakat expenses.

Bawan noted that its quarterly revenue reached SAR 970.52 million, signaling a slight increase of 0.45% year-on-year (YoY).

In the first half (H1) of 2026, Bawan’s net profits fell by 41.52% to SAR 105.87 million from a restated SAR 181.04 million in H1-25.

The company noted that the H1-25 statements included a non-recurring, non-cash bargain purchase gain of SAR 126 million related to the acquisition of an 80% stake in the oil and gas sector.

Operating profit grew by 20.92% to SAR 156.69 million in H1-26, while total revenue soared by 6.69% to SAR 2 billion.

Bawan highlighted that excluding non-cash amortization charges of SAR 72 million related to purchase price allocation (PPA), the group's actual net profit for H1-26 reached SAR 164 million.

Earnings per share (EPS) for the six-month period stood at SAR 1.76.

In January-March 2026, Bawan posted net profits of SAR 51.92 million, while the revenue hit SAR 1.03 billion.
