Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) started Sunday’a trading in red territory.
By 10:40 am Qatar time, the general index fell 1.7% to 9,886.86 points, losing 170.2 points.
The bourse's turnover amounted to QAR 47.6 million after 1.77 million shares were traded through 879 transactions.
The banking sector topped the QSE’s decliners falling 2.45%, followed by the industrial and insurance sectors, which went down 1.64% and 1.25%, respectively.
The Commercial Bank of Qatar’s (CBQ) stock led the bourse in terms of trading volume with 407,300 shares, generating QAR 16.4 million in liquidity.
