Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index gained 68.2 points, or 1.39%, to close at 4,986.28 points in Monday, encouraged by the banks and the energy sectors.
The banks sector went up 2.85%, as RAK Bank soared 6.1%, while First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) increased by 3.23% and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) added 2.21%.
The energy sector inched up 0.03%, as Dana Gas grew 1.75% and Taqa surged 5.83%.
On the other hand, the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, lost 1.22% each.
The real estate sector sank 0.51% after Aldar Properties fell 0.5%, while RAK Properties went down 0.81% and Eshrak Properties declined 0.17%.
Union National Bank (UNB) topped the market in terms of trading value, with a turnover of AED 63.45 million.
Market capitalisation gained AED 4.688 billion to AED 495.869 billion.
