Bank of Jordan board proposes dividends, capital hike

Mubasher: Bank of Jordan (BOJ) said its board recommended raising capital to JOD 200 million.

The top-up will be effected through capitalising JOD 44.9 million from retained earnings.

The board also proposed JOD 31 million in cash dividends, representing 20% of the bank’s capital.

BOJ posted net earnings of JOD 29 million (nearly $40.7 million) for the first nine months of 2015, compared with JOD 31.4 million ($44.2 million) in the same period a year ago.
