Bank Muscat and Prime Class ink exclusive airport lounge access pact

Bank Muscat, the flagship financial services provider in the Sultanate, and TAV Prime Class operating the premier lounge at Muscat International Airport, have signed an exclusive agreement facilitating PoS card acquiring services at the lounge. The deal offers free lounge access to Premier banking customers, including Private, asalah and al jawhar customers, in addition to discounted rates for lounge access for all other Bank Muscat cardholders. Bank Muscat cardholders can avail exclusive lounge access at the discounted rate of RO 14 instead of RO 20. Amjad al Lawati, AGM — Cards & eBanking, and Ali Bora Isbulan, General Manager, TAV Operations Services, signed the agreement at the bank’s head office.
Amjad al Lawati said: “In line with the leadership position in Oman, Bank Muscat is delighted to sign the exclusive agreement with TAV Prime Class offering yet another value-added service benefiting customers. The bank is making all efforts to establish electronic payment as a business model. The initiative is aimed at complementing government efforts in making e-payment the preferred mode of payment and motivating a change in consumer behaviour that makes ‘payment by cards’ both a habit and preference in view of convenience and security.”
TAV Prime Class operates 30+ private passenger lounges within 19 airports in 8 countries. The Prime Class Muscat lounge theme is based on a reinterpretation of Oman’s traditional architecture and distinctive landscapes to make guests feel comfortable.
The lounge offers ultimate comfort 24/7 with facilities, including game zone, cinema, private suites, family rooms, prayer area, meeting rooms, female and male hair dresser, tailor, laundry, kid’s play rooms, shower facilities, restrooms, spa, relaxing zone, baggage storage and more. Guests can avail open buffet of traditional and international cuisine options of fresh and tasty complimentary snacks in privileged atmosphere.

Bank Muscat commenced card acquiring operations in 2002 and since then has crossed many milestones to become
the largest acquirer and issuer of cards in Oman.
