Riyadh — Mubasher: The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia, known as Bahri, reported a net profit of SAR 2.75 billion during the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, representing a 574.15% jump from SAR 407.45 million in Q2-25.
Revenue for Q2-26 surged by 156.18% to SAR 6.31 billion from SAR 2.46 billion in the prior-year period, according to a bourse diaclosure.
The company attributed the performance to higher operational activity and a spike in global shipping rates across all business segments.
The oil transport sector was the primary driver, with its revenue increasing by SAR 3.40 billion.
Additionally, the chemicals and integrated logistics sectors saw revenue gains of SAR 133 million and SAR 160 million, respectively.
Gross profit rose by SAR 2.10 billion in April-June 2026 on the back of capital gains from the sale of a vessel and higher income from equity-accounted investees.
For the first half (H1) of 2026, Bahri’s net profit reached SAR 4.90 billion, signaling a 420.70% increase compared to SAR 940.27 million in H1-25.
Total revenue for the half-year period stood at SAR 11.27 billion.
Moreover, the company’s fleet reached a record 107 owned vessels by the end of June 2026, following the acquisition of five chemical tankers.
In Q1-26, Bahri generated net profit to the owners worth SAR 2.14 billion in addition to revenue of SAR 4.96 billion.
