Bahri Logistics pens international freight forwarding service deal

Riyadh – Mubasher: Bahri Logistics, one of the six business units of the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), has entered into an international freight forwarding service agreement with Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR).

Under the three-year deal, Bahri Logistics will serve as SAR's primary freight forwarding service provider for both imports and exports, according to a press release.

Soror Basalom, President of Bahri Logistics, commented: “Leveraging expertise gained over several decades, we will deliver seamless freight forwarding services to SAR and its customers in line with the highest global standards."

Salah bin Abdullah Al-Omair, the Vice President for Shared Services at SAR, stated: "We hope that this alliance will strengthen our capabilities and contribute to the continued growth and success of both organizations."

In the first nine months (9M) of 2023, Bahri recorded a 161.93% year-on-year (YoY) leap in net profit after Zakat and tax to SAR 1.21 billion, compared to SAR 462.79 million.

Revenues enlarged by 15.16% to SAR 6.75 billion in 9M-23 from SAR 5.86 billion in 9M-22.
