Mubasher: Investcorp announced that it has concluded an agreement to acquire Ticket Holding (Vivaticket) from its co-founders. The purchased company’s co-founders and management team will remain in place, as they hold a meaningful stake in Investcorp.
The new deal will likely close by year-end based on customary closing conditions, the Bahraini leading global provider and manager of alternative investments said in a press release on Monday.
Headquartered in Italy, Vivaticket is a key global solutions provider since its establishment in 1999. It offers integrated ticketing software solutions in various industries, including leisure and entertainment, sport, culture, and tradeshow. Additionally, the company has extensive global presence of over 2,100 clients including leading brands such as Walt Disney World, Musée du Louvre and FC Barcelona.
“As global demand for entertainment and experiential content continues to increase, Vivaticket is ideally positioned to capitalise on multiple growth opportunities that directly align with Investcorp’s investment expertise,” head of Investcorp’s European private equity group Daniel Lopez-Cruz remarked.
He further pointed out that the company is looking forward to partnering and collaborating with Vivaticket’s team to further enhance their international footprint and strengthening its presence.
Meanwhile, Vivaticket’s co-founder Luca Montebugnoli said, “Investcorp is a distinguished and highly professional partner that will be able, together with the existing management team, to further accelerate the growth of Vivaticket with the aim of competing amongst the top 3 players globally.”
