B Investments generates EGP 861m standalone profits in 2022; dividends unveiled

Cairo – Mubasher: B Investments Holding registered EGP 860.89 million in standalone net profit after tax in 2022, an annual leap from EGP 123.43 million.

Non-consolidated income hit EGP 999.39 million last year, compared to EGP 174.83 million in the January-December 2021 period, according to the financial results.

Meanwhile, the basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) enlarged to EGP 5.34 in 2022 from EGP 0.75 a year earlier.

Total standalone assets amounted to EGP 2.85 billion as of 31 December 2022, versus EGP 1.63 billion in 2021. 

Dividends

The board of B Investments greenlighted a dividend distribution of EGP 4 per share, which amounts to EGP 640.09 million, for 2022.

Meanwhile, the dividends decision is still subject to the approval of the ordinary general meeting (OGM) that will be held on 20 March 2023.

As for the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, the OGM will discuss the board’s recommendation of disbursing a dividend of EGP 1 per share in addition to stock dividends of 1 share for every 4 shares.

In the first nine months (9M) of 2022, the EGX-listed firm witnessed a drop in standalone net profit after tax to EGP 67.77 million, compared to EGP 123.33 million in the year-ago period.
