Ayyan Investment turns to net losses in H1-26

Riyadh – Mubasher: Ayyan Investment Company shifted to net losses valued at SAR 119.20 million for the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, a sharp reversal from the SAR 17.79 million net profit in Q2-25.

The company attributed the quarterly downturn to losses resulting from the fair value revaluation of investments, increased financing costs, and a higher cost of revenue.

For the first six months (6M) of 2026, the company posted a net loss of SAR 87.23 million, compared to a net profit of SAR 384.27 million in the corresponding period of 2025.

Total revenue for the half-year period fell to SAR 57.42 million from SAR 35.06 million a year earlier.

The company noted that while general and administrative expenses decreased, the impact was offset by the absence of profits from discontinued operations that had bolstered the previous year's figures.

Ayyan Investment disclosed that its accumulated losses have reached SAR 198.77 million, accounting for 19.75% of its capital.

Total shareholders' equity, excluding non-controlling interests, stood at SAR 859.55 million at the end of the period, down 13.35% from SAR 992.02 million a year ago.

The loss per share for the first half (H1) of 2026 was SAR 0.87, compared to an earnings per share (EPS) of SAR 3.83 in the prior-year period.

In Q1-26, the accumulated losses hit SAR 79.56 million, representing 7.91% of the company’s capital.
