Amwaj International incurs nearly SAR 88m net losses in 2025

Riyadh — Mubasher: Amwaj International Company reported a net loss of SAR 87.80 million for the fiscal year ended on 31 December 2025.

The negative result marked a reversal from a net profit of SAR 6.36 million recorded during 2024, according to a bourse filing.

The company attributed the downturn to a SAR 28.67 million loss stemming from inventory discrepancies discovered at one of its branches and a significant rise in expected credit loss provisions to SAR 47.12 million, compared to SAR 2.41 million in 2024.

Annual revenue declined by 7.88% to SAR 276.61 million from SAR 300.27 million, driven by lower sales volumes and a re-evaluation of credit management policies.

Furthermore, gross profit fell by 43.24% to SAR 29.03 million, while the company recorded an operating loss of SAR 77.15 million.

Consequently, loss per share reached SAR 14.63 in 2025, versus earnings per share (EPS) of SAR 1.06 a year earlier.

Meanwhile, the accumulated losses reached SAR 28.02 million, representing 46.69% of the company's capital.

Total shareholders' equity decreased by 67.28% to SAR 42.68 million.

Amwaj International noted that trading of its shares has been suspended since 30 April 2026 due to the delay in publishing these financial results.

The company stated it is pursuing legal measures to recover amounts related to the branch inventory incident.
