Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company announced that the General Authority for Foreign Trade has issued a final decision to impose anti-dumping duties on imports of ductile iron pipes from India for a period of five years.
The measures, effective 4 August 2026, follow an investigation initiated in July 2025 after a complaint by Saudi Arabian Ductile Iron Pipe Company Limited (SADIP), a subsidiary of Amiantit that accounts for 85% of local production.
The duties apply to hollow cast iron pipes with diameters between 100 mm and 1000 mm. Imports from Electrosteel Castings Limited (ECL India) and its Bahraini trading arm will face a duty of 16.96% of the CIF value, with a minimum floor of SAR 714 per metric ton.
All other Indian-origin imports, including those shipped through third countries, are subject to a higher rate of 29.94%, or at least SAR 1,260 per metric ton.
The company expects the trade protection measures to positively impact its sales performance in future periods. The targeted products are primarily used in water, sewage, irrigation, and fire-fighting networks.
