Riyadh – Mubasher: The extraordinary general meeting (EGM) of Almarai Company approved cash dividends amounting to SAR 1 billion, equivalent to 10% of the share capital, for 2022.
The Tadawul-listed firm will grant SAR 1 per share for 1 billion eligible shares on 17 April 2023, according to a bourse disclosure.
The board members recommended the dividends distribution last December, while the shareholders greenlighted the proposal on 11 April 2023.
In 2022, Almarai generated net profits after Zakat and tax worth SAR 1.75 billion, higher by 12.55% than SAR 1.56 billion in 2021.
During the first quarter (Q1) of 2023, the company’s net profits after Zakat and tax hiked by 50.51% to SAR 635.95 million from SAR 422.53 million in Q1-22.
