Alexandria Portland Cement trims losses by 31% in 9M

Cairo - Mubasher: Alexandria Portland Cement on Thursday reported a 31% year-on-year decline in consolidated losses for the first nine months of 2018.

The Egyptian company’s losses reached EGP 24.57 million during the nine-month period ended September, versus EGP 358.78 million in the year-ago period, according to a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

As for the standalone losses, the company eased its losses to EGP 162 million in the January-September period EGP 280.99 million in the corresponding period of 2017.

It is worth noting that Alexandria Portland’s net loss dropped to EGP 130.52 million in the first half of 2018, 32.2% lower than EGP 192.61 million in H1-17.
