Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Petroleum Company (APC) refined 4.8 million tonnes of crude oil during fiscal year 2018/2019, leading to the provision of petroleum products of more than EGP 55 billion, the company’s chairman Medhat Bahgat said.
Such products have contributed to meeting the local requirements of diesel, butane, heavy fuel oil (mazut), high-octane gasoline, aviation fuel, high-quality oil, and asphalt, Bahgat added in a statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum on Monday.
Some of the company's products were directed to meet the feedstock requirements of petroleum companies such as Alexandria Mineral Oils Co. (AMOC) and Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company (ANRPC).
In addition, petroleum products including heavy fuel oil (mazut) at a value of more than $400 million were exported to Italy, Spain, France, Malta, Cyprus, Georgia, Tunisia, and Lebanon.
