Cairo – Mubasher: Alexandria Customs collected EGP 3.874 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges during September.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Alexandria port reached EGP 756 million last month, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.
In addition, the value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods amounted to EGP 3.1 billion during the month, the statement showed.
The imported goods included spare parts, production requirements, cars, and tobacco.
