Alexandria Business Association injects EGP 11.9 mln into micro projects loans

Alexandria Business Association has pumped 11.9 million Egyptian pounds into loans for micro projects since its inception 1990 till the end of September 2018, its Executive Director Magdy Moussa.

He told Amwal Al Ghad the number of loans have reached 3.9 million to around 1.4 million clients.

Moussa further noted that the association portfolio has reached 1.3 billion pounds by the end of the third quarter of 2018 to 425,000 clients.

Alexandria Businessmen Association started its activity in 1983 as the economic committee for businessmen under the umbrella of the Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria. The main objective of the association was to provide support to the private sector. Alexandria Businessmen Association started its actual activities in the field of small and craft development in January 1990 in Alexandria Governorate. it owns fifty branches in six governorates (Alexandria, Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, Marsa Matrouh, El Monofeya, El Gharbia).
