Aldar unveils special offer for $2.7bn community project

Aldar Properties, a leading developer in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is set to launch a special one-week offer for customers to help them buy their dream homes at its Dh10 billion ($2.72 billion) master-planned community, Alghadeer, located on Abu Dhabi-Dubai border.

A major Aldar project, Alghadeer which features 14,408 residential units besides commercial properties, cultural and institutional amenities and entertainment attractions.

At the heart of the premium project is Harvest, a multi-use agricultural led space featuring allotments, as well as The Hub – a F&B (food and beverages) outlet, The Studio – an educational area for training and workshops, The Shed – a dedicated area for purchasing farming tools and supplies, and The Market – a retail area for freshly grown produce, and The Field - where people can rent plots and grow their own produce.

Under this campaign which runs from September 1 to 8, Aldar will waive off the 2 per cent Abu Dhabi municipality fee and service charge for three years for all those who purchase homes at the mega development, said a company statement.

Customers will be able to secure attractive savings on apartments, maisonettes, and townhouses in this strategically located development which has been designed to support healthy and suitable living. Prices for studios start at Dh330,000, it stated.  

With easy access to the UAE's arterial highways, it offers residents an unparallel opportunity to benefit from living between major growth areas within the emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai, it added.

Maan Al Awlaqi, the executive director - commercial at Aldar Properties, said: "When we launched Alghadeer in April this year we received a strong response from our customers due to the quality of the development, attractive location, and highly competitive pricing. The upcoming offer will now make it an even more attractive investment for our customers."

Appealing to those who prefer wide-open spaces and unique recreational amenities, the destination will also feature lakes, running and cycle tracks, gym, camping and BBQ sites and a network of walkable gardens and parks lit entirely by solar powered lights,. he explained.

In April, Aldar had sold two plots of land in Alghadeer for community services, demonstrating momentum in its newly launched master planned development. These contracts will see British curriculum Alghadeer International School and retail outlets including LuLu supermarket and a community clinic open in 2021 in line with handovers of the first new community to customers.

The masterplan incorporates Aldar's existing community of the same name which boasts over 2,000 homes and is a thriving destination for many families, said the company in its statement.

Construction work on the first neighbourhood is likely to start by year-end and due for completion in 2021, it added.
