Aldar records 35% higher profits in H1-21

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The net profits attributable to the owners of Aldar Properties hiked by 35% to AED 1.062 billion in the January-June period of 2021, compared to AED 783.46 million in the same period of 2020, as per the company's interim consolidated financials for the six-month period ended 30 June 2021.

The company generated revenues of AED 4.232 billion in the first half (H1) of 2021, up 12% from AED 3.763 billion in the year-ago period.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.135 in H1-21, versus AED 0.1 in the corresponding half of 2020.

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, the company reported net profits of AED 520.078 million, up from AED 483.363 million in the same quarter of 2020.

Commenting on the company's performance, Aldar's CEO, Talal Al  Dhiyebi, commented: "Development launches have ramped up, third-party management fees have climbed as projects gathered pace, and our education and property management businesses have built considerable scale."

It is noteworthy to mention that in the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, the company recorded an 80% year-on-year (YoY) surge in net profits, logging AED 544 million.
