Al Khazna Insurance widens losses to AED 45m

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Al Khazna Insurance Company (AKIC) logged a net loss of AED 44.97 million ($12.24 million) for the first half of 2015, a rise of 1.2% from AED 44.4 million ($12.1 million) for the same period in 2014.

Net insurance premiums grew 35.7% to AED 73.4 million in H1-15, compared to AED 54.76 million in the corresponding period of 2014, according to a filing to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Wednesday.

AKIC previously reported a net loss of AED 4 million ($1.09 million) for Q1-15, a decline from AED 5 million ($1.36 million) in Q1-14.
