Airbus reaches $50bn deal with USA’s Indigo Partners

Dubai – Mubasher: Airbus on Wednesday unveils the closing of a major deal to sell 430 A320neo jets to four companies in Indigo Partners’ investment portfolio in consideration of around $50 billion during Dubai Airshow 2017.

Under the deal, Indigo Partners will receive upgraded narrow-body aircraft to increase its fleets of low-cost carriers from Denver to Budapest, according to a company statement.

The jets will be delivered to four companies in Indigo Parteners’s investment portfolio, which are Frontier Airlines, Volaris,Wizz Air Holdings, and JetSmart, Airbus stated.

“The deal features 273 A320neo jets together with 157 of the larger A321neo variant and is worth $49.5 billion before customary discounts,” the company concluded.
