Abu Dhabi’s non-oil trade hits AED 160bn in 2017

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi’s non-oil trade registered about AED 159.9 billion during the full-year 2017, including AED 13.2 billion in December, according to a report released by the Statistics Centre of Abu Dhabi (SCAD).

Over the course of the last year, the emirate’s non-oil exports and re-exports reached AED 22.6 billion and AED 21.7 billion, respectively, while imports recorded AED 115.5 billion, the report found.

Industrial supplies accounted for 37.8% of Abu Dhabi’s imports in 2017, hitting AED 43.7 billion, while imports of transport equipment and parts recorded AED 33.9 billion, the SCAD concluded.
