Abu Dhabi hotel occupancy hits 81% in Eid Al Adha

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Hotel occupancy rates in Abu Dhabi reached 81% during the four-day holiday of Eid Al Adha lasted from 21 August to 24 August.

Occupancy rate in the UAE capital rose by 6%, compared to 75% during Eid Al Adha in 2017, according to the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

The occupancy rate hit highest at 87% on the second day of Eid on the back of an increase in visitors to the emirate, DCT Abu Dhabi said, noting that Emiratis, Saudis, Indians, British and Americans made up 55% of total visitors.

Four-star hotels recorded the highest occupancy rate at 88%, while the one-star to the three-star hotels registered the lowest rate at 72%.
