AMOC studies potential project with Germany’s SULZER

Cairo - Mubasher: Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC) is currently studying the establishment of a slack wax de-oiling project in cooperation with Germany’s SULZER.

The targeted project is part of the company’s efforts to develop facilities that extract and refine wax oils for specialized industrial applications, according to a bourse filing.

The announcement was made during the company’s ordinary general assembly meeting held on 26 March 2026.

During the shareholders' meeting, Maged El-Kordy, the CEO and board Chairman, reviewed business results for the second half (H2) of 2025 and outlined its future strategy.

AMOC recorded total sales of 808,000 tons valued at approximately EGP 20.53 billion in H2-25, marking a 14.5% increase.

The total revenues hit EGP 21.26 billion in the July-December 2025 period, while the net profits after taxes stood at EGP 844 million.

El-Kordy highlighted the company’s commitment to safety and environmental sustainability, achieving zero environmental violations.

AMOC also outlined its 2026–2030 strategy aligned with Egypt Vision 2030. This plan includes increased production capacity to 123% through sector-wide feed integration, resulting in total production of 677,000 tons or 108% of the planned target.

The company is also expanding its product portfolio and operating a new hydrogenation unit for Group II base oils.

Meanwhile, the company met 95% of domestic market demand, supplying 766,000 tons.

Earlier this month, the general assembly of AMOC greenlighted EGP 516.60 million in cash dividends for the second half (H2) of 2025.
