ADX sees upward trend on Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Wednesday’s trading session in the green territory backed by the banks sector.

The ADX’s general index edged up by 0.10% and gained 5.29 points, closing the session at 5,086.81 points.

Trading volume amounted to 31.06 million shares that were exchanged through 1,486 transactions at a turnover of AED 127.44 million.

Market capitalisation added AED 570 million and closed the session at AED 518.82 billion.

The banks sector went up by 0.38% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) increased by 1.61% and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) levelled up by 1.33%.

On the other hand, the real estate, the energy, and the telecommunication sectors fell by 0.60%, 0.33%, and 0.12%, respectively.

Agthia’s stock headed the top gainers with 3.94%, while Emirate driving’s stock led the losers with 9.92%.

ADCB was the most active stock by value with AED 30.88 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock by volume with 4.59 million traded shares.
