ADX ends Thursday near stability on investment, telecom sectors

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index inched down 0.64 points, or 0.01%, to close at 4,883.42 points on Thursday, dragged down by the investment and telecommunication sectors.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 103.054 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 307.96 million and market capitalisation decreased to AED 484.648 billion.

The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, declined 0.5% each.

At the other end of the spectrum, the energy sector went up 1.19%, as Dana Gas grew 1.77% and Taqa rose 0.88%.

The banks sector edged up 0.09% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) added 0.56% and 0.28%, respectively.

The real estate sector increased, as RAK Properties gained 0.83% and Eshraq Properties went up 0.18%.
