ADX ends Monday in red

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Monday on a negative performance after falling 2.25 points, or 0.05%, reaching 4,937.69 points.

The ADX’s traded volume stood at 23.110 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 83.84 million through 714 transactions.

The bourse’s market capitalisation amounted to AED 490.65 billion ($133.567 billion) by the end of trading activities.

The energy sector inched down 0.81% as Abu Dhabi National Energy Co’s “TAQA” stock fell 5.93%, while the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, edged down 0.36%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 0.44% after Aldar Properties’ stock increased 0.52% and Eshraq Properties’ stock grew 0.35%.

The banks sector levelled up 0.17%, boosted by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s (ADCB) stock which inched up 0.57%.
