ADX closes Sunday up; market cap gains AED 1.97bn

Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went up 0.79% or 35.56 points to settle at 4,546.16 points by the end of Sunday's trading session.

Turnover amounted to AED 337.31 million after 79.01 million shares had been traded through 1,733 transactions.

The market cap value increased by AED 1.97 billion to AED 680.75 billion, compared to AED 678.78 billion during the previous session.

The banks sector headed the gainers with 1.62%, while the telecommunications segment topped the losers with 0.60%.

National Marine Dredging Co (NMDC) led the rising stocks with 9.65%, while Arkan Building Materials came on top of the losing stocks with 2.53%.

International Holdings Co registered the highest turnover of AED 75.79 million, while Aldar Properties posted the highest trading volume of 30.70 million shares.
