ADX back to losses at Wednesday's close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) fell by 0.67% or 29.18 points to close at 4,311.86 points on Wednesday, snapping a three-session rising streak.

The market’s turnover amounted to AED 154.56 million after 164.03 million shares were traded through 1,133 transactions.

The market cap value jumped by AED 7.59 billion to AED 590.77 billion on Wednesday from AED 583.18 billion in the previous session.

The real estate sector led the losers with 2.64%, while the telecoms sector advanced by 0.60%.

Al Qudra Holding headed the decliners after sliding by 4.9%, whereas Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) led the gainers with 10.21%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) registered the highest turnover of AED 18.61 million, while Manazel posted the highest trading volume of 21.81 million shares.

Meanwhile, the blue-chips Dana Gas, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) dropped by 2.84%, 1.78%, and 1.31%, respectively, while Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat) rose by 0.60%.
