ADX adds 34 pts on blue chips Thursday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Thursday’s trading session in the green after its main index grew 34.28 points, or 0.68%, to finish at 5,055.46 points, boosted by blue-chip stocks.

The ADX saw trading of 45.82 million shares in the last session of this week, down from 57.97 million on Wednesday, while trading value dropped slightly to AED 281.70 million, against AED 281.96 million.

Abu Dhabi Aviation Co’s stock was the best performer after gaining 6.45% to AED 3.3, while Emirates Insurance’s stock increased 6.15% to AED 6.9.

RAK Properties’ stock also rose 3.02% to close at AED 0.579, and the stock of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) grew 2.12% to AED 8.19.

The stocks of Emirates Telecommunications Group “Etisalat” and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) levelled up 1.42% to AED 17.1, and 0.6% to AED 14.80, respectively.
