ADNTC sees 7% higher profits in H1-21

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The net profits of Abu Dhabi National Takaful Company (ADNTC) increased by 7% to AED 49.74 million during the first half (H1) of 2021, compared to AED 46.29 million in the same half of 2020, as per the company's interim financials for the six-month period ended 30 June 2021.

The company's net written contributions declined to AED 42.042 million in the first six months of 2021 from AED 83.775 million in the year-ago period.

Meanwhile, the company reported net claims incurred of AED 31.613 million in H1-21, up from AED 27.45 million in H1-20.

The basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) stood at AED 0.50 in the January-June period of 2021, against AED 0.46 in the corresponding period of 2020.

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, the company's net profits declined to AED 23.44 million from AED 30.744 million in the same quarter of 2020.
