ADGM, CFCA partner to develop financial services

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Registration Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) on Monday announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Casablanca Finance City Authority (CFCA) to foster closer collaboration among the UAE, Morocco and Africa.

Under the deal, the two entities will jointly promote the development of financial services in the respective markets, according to ADGM’s statement.

The MoU was signed by Dhaher Bin Dhaher Al Mheiri, CEO of ADGM and Said Ibrahimi, CEO of CFCA.

The deal aims at focusing on strengthening the partnership between the authorities to explore possible cross-border initiatives, facilitate knowledge sharing and accelerate the development of the financial services sector to support the growth of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

It also provides a platform for the authorities to foster best practice and knowledge in the fields of green finance; Islamic finance and financial technologies (Fintech) in a bid to prop up the growth of financial services.

“We will work closely to develop a robust financial services sector that is supported by green finance and innovative financial technologies,” Al Mheiri commented.
