Riyadh – Mubasher: Five Saudi tech startups have qualified, out of 350, for the third cohort of Saudi Arabia’s Badir Business Accelerator Programme for 2019.
Over the coming three months, the Riyadh-based initiative is set to provide funding, guidance, support, training, workshops, legal support, and business offices in an effort to guarantee the success of the selected startups in their initial stage, according to a statement.
The startups operate across various businesses and sectors, including the agriculture, sports clubs and trainers, electronic sports, and furnishings, Badir said in a statement on Monday.
“The programme aims at speeding growth of Saudi startups to establish new technology projects and contribute to improving the national economy, as well as increase productivity and job opportunities for youth,” Nawaf Al Sahhaf, the CEO of Badir Programme for Technology Incubators.
On a related note, the Badir Accelerator will inject up to SAR 300,000 in technology startups, and will also help them in acquiring additional investments through collaborating with domestic and regional investors.
The Badir Programme initiative aims at setting up fresh and innovative technology projects, along with creating a positive impact that in return will improve the national economy, increase productivity and provide more jobs for youth.
