Suez Canal revenues down 4% in January

Cairo - Mubasher: Revenues from Egypt's Suez Canal decreased in January 2017 by 4% year-on-year, according to data published by the Egyptian Cabinet.

The canal’s income reached $395.2 million down from $411.8 million in January 2016.

The revenues also declined by 4.6% month-on-month, as it registered around $414.4 million in December.

Suez Canal proceeds recorded $5.005 billion in 2016 compared to $5.175 billion in the year before, with a decline of 3.3%.
