Mubasher: Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) reported on Wednesday a net profit of BHD 37.6 million ($99.04 million) for fiscal year 2016, 24% down from BHD 49.5 million ($131.3 million) for FY15.
Net profit for the fourth quarter of FY16 fell 40% year-on-year, according to a bourse statement.
Earnings per share amounted to BHD 22.6 for 2016, compared to BHD 29.8.
The company’s board recommended distributing cash dividends of 25 fils per share (25% of the capital) for the year, totalling BHD 41.58 million.
