ADX gains 0.65% Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed gains for the second successive session on Wednesday, amid a slight decline in trading activity.

The general index rose 0.65% or 29.83 points to reach 4,637.52 points.

Trading volume reached 81.17 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 131.65 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 131.65 million, compared to AED 207.5 million.

Eshraq Properties, which added 0.9%, was the value leader after generating AED 33.19 million from the exchange of 29.61 million shares.

The energy sector rose 3.6% after Dana Gas advanced 4.65%.

The real estate sector grew 2.6% after Aldar Properties increased 0.54%.

The banks sector climbed 0.46%, as National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) went up 0.96% and 0.37%, respectively.
