Mubasher: The performance of Boursa Kuwait was mixed at the closing of Wednesday’s trading session.
The price index went up 0.39% or 26.73 points to end the day at 6,792.73 points; the weighted index gained 0.14%, while Kuwait-15 index lost 0.24%.
Turnover shrank to KWD 29.93 million after trading volume decreased to 279.98 million shares.
The oil and gas segment topped 10 gainers with 1.28%, on the back of Napesco which rose by 6.10%.
The industrial sector levelled up by 0.46%, as Gulf Franchising jumped by 9.8% to be the top winner.
Meanwhile, the telecom sector was the only decliner with 1.34%, dragged by Hits Telecom and Ooredoo which lost 5.26% and 1.59%, respectively.
Kuwait Resorts was the most active stock on which 19.47 million shares were exchanged.
Agility recorded the highest trading value of KWD 2.73 million.
