Kuwait – Mubasher: Zain Group, listed on Boursa Kuwait, said that the Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) awarded the unified licence to Zain KSA on 20 February.
Under the licence, the firm can provide all licenced telecommunication services including fixed lines, according to a bourse filing on Wednesday.
Zain Kuwait, the mother company, expected that the awarded licence would have a positive impact on the company.
By the end of the first hour of trading, the company's stock rose 1.04% to 485 fils through exchanging 3.62 million shares at a value of KWD 1.76 million, being the most active in terms of traded value.
