Dubai – Mubasher: DP World Company’s Dubai Trade announced the launch of an integrated "smart" online platform, according to a press statement.

The platform aims to connect supply chain stakeholders over a secure network; thus, facilitating the ease of doing business with the UAE.

The electronic trade services hub added “LogiGate” last year, enabling cargo owners to book haulage and storage services using a smartphone.

Companies registered with Dubai Trade reached over 14,000 in 2016, bringing the total to number of 127,000. Additionally, the portal also saw 19 million transactions during the year.

Doubling e-payment transactions through ePayment gateway “Rosoom” reached 2.3 million, generating earnings of AED 1.4 billion.

“Online services are no longer limited to payment channels but can offer integrated solutions to enable trade providing business opportunities supported by the latest smart technologies,” according to Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, the group's chairman, CEO of DP World, and chairman of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation.
