QSE closes 0.19% higher on blue chips

Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange’s (QSE) main index rose at Tuesday’s close by 0.19% or 20.93 points to the level of 10,933.69 points.

Trading volume increased to 10.6 million shares from 9.1 million shares exchanged on Monday, as turnover also rose to QAR 396.5 million from QAR 391.7 million.

Industries Qatar, QNB, and Ezdan Holding ascended by 1.7%, 1.05%, and 0.64%, respectively.

Five sectors closed in green topped by the banking sector after adding 0.43%, while two sectors closed in red headed by the transportation sector after falling 3.34%.

Nakilat, down 5.11%, was the top loser, while Qatar General Insurance, up 6.17%, was the top gainer.

Nakilat made the biggest trading volume activity with 1.5 million shares, while Medicare Group made the highest turnover of QAR 50 million.
