Kuwait – Mubasher: The Kuwait equity market delivered a positive performance during 15-19 January after the main index rose 5.4% to 6435.75 points compared with 6107.68 points a week earlier.
The weighted and Kuwait15 indices increased 4.12% and 4%, respectively.
Volumes moved up 37.9% week-on-week to 3.8 billion shares from 2.76 billion shares, while turnover stood at KWD 317.7 million, higher 61% from KWD 197.28 million.
The indices of Boursa Kuwait ended Thursday’s trading session on a mixed note with the oil and gas segment topping 10 gainers (+3.25%) on the back of six shares led by PetroGulf (+8.9%).
Market capitalization added KWD 1.05 billion ($3.43 billion) to reach KWD 28.13 billion, compared with KWD 27.08 billion scored last week.
