Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange’s main index rose this week by 2.2% or 232 points to the level of 10,941.43 points, compared to 10,709.47 points last week.
Trading volume increased 32% to 49.32 million shares from 37.34 million shares exchanged a week ago, turnover also rose 49% to QAR 1.61 billion from QAR 1.08 billion.
The market capitalisation increased 1.67% to QAR 585.9 billion from QAR 576.3 billion last week.
The banking sector led traded value this week with 35.9% of the total traded value, followed by the industries sector (+22.5%), the real estate sector (17.45%) and the consumer goods sector (+12.9%).
Mannai Corp headed the green list after rising 7.23%, while Qatar General Insurance topped losers with a 8.32% decrease.
QNB led the week’s activity with a 11% stake of the total turnover, followed by Industries Qatar (9.3%) and Masraf Al Rayan (7.3%).
