Doha – Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) saw a positive performance in the week ended 1 December.
The general index rose 2.05% or 198.82 points to reach 9,714.93 points.
Market capitalisation reached QAR 533.89 billion this week, compared to QAR 524.88 billion last week. Turnover amounted to QAR 1.5 billion, compared to QAR 801.43 million.
The banks sector acquired 33.02% of the market’s liquidity, followed by the telecom, industrial and consumer staples sectors at 25.18%, 19.54% and 8.34% respectively.
Vodafone Qatar was the most active stock after seeing trades that accounted for 21.98% of the market’s trading volume.
