Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange started Thursday on a stronger note as the main index EGX30 rose 0.85% to 11,550.8 points by 10:43am Cairo local time.
The largest EGX30 constituent CIB moved higher 0.3% to EGP 69 with a turnover of EGP 26 million by 10:46am Cairo local time.
The small and mid-cap EGX70 increased 1.06% to 461.4 points.
The broader index EGX100 and the equal-weighted index EGX50 were higher 0.82% and 1.04%, respectively.
Trading value reached EGP 359 million after 144.7 million shares were traded.
Foreigners and Arabs were net buyers by EGP 52.8 million and EGP 8.5 million, while nationals were net sellers by EGP 61.3 million.
