Mubasher: Muscat Securities Exchange came on a higher note at Thursday's mid-session as the main index rose 1.2% to 5553.44 points.
Blue-chip stocks backed today's positive performance after Al Batinah, Al Sharqiya Investment, and Galfar Engineering increased by 4.71%, 4.69%, and 4.44%, respectively by 11:14am Muscat time.
The financial and industrial sectors were higher 1.85% and 0.83% respectively.
Trading volume reached 12.78 million shares traded in 504 transactions at OMR 2.57 million.
