Kuwaiti bourse starts Thursday mixed

Kuwait – Mubasher: The indices of Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) started Thursday’s trading session with mixed performance.

The price index retreated by 0.18% or 10.6 points to reach 5,544.14 points by 10am Kuwait time, while both the weighted and Kuwait-15 indices gained 0.23% and 0.54% respectively.

The telecom sector led six decliners with a fall of 0.6%, dragged by Ooredoo which lost 5.17%.

The real estate segment went down by 0.19%, in line with the 2.22% decline of Munshaat. The financial services sector was down by 0.03%, affected by the 2.7% fall of GFH.

Meanwhile, the industrial sector levelled up 0.5%, backed by KCPC which rose by 3.66%. The oil and gas sector also rose by 0.21%, as PetroGulf levelled up by 2.5%.

The banks sector gained 0.08%, as KFH rose by 2%.

KSE’s trading value amounted to KWD 5.48 million, after 34.45 million shares were exchanged through 904 transactions.

Al Imtiaz was the most active stock on which 8.24 million shares were traded. The stock levelled up 3.77%.

Zain recorded the highest turnover that stood at KWD 1.03 million, reaching a higher level with 2.5%.
