Riyadh – Mubasher: Astra Industrial Group said it paid SAR 1.521 million out of the total amount required by Saudi Arabia’s the General Authority for Zakat and Tax (GAZT), based on the study conducted by the firm’s zakat affairs advisor.
Regarding the remaining required payment, the company submitted a file to object on the authority’s zakat assessment, according to a bourse statement.
Astra previously received two letters from the authority regarding the payment of SAR 3.2 million worth of zakat differences, in addition to SAR 66.6 million in zakat and tax claims.
